An existing 1930s detached bungalow in Furness Vale had poor access to it’s rear garden with a small kitchen and bathroom taking up the majority of the rear elevation.
Our proposals involved the re-configuration of the internal layout and a flat roofed extension at the rear. By moving the bathroom to the middle of the plan we were able to create a large kitchen, living and dining space filled with light that opens out to an enlarged patio through large sliding folding doors.
The random rubble stone for the extension all came from the excavations carried out on site during construction.
The whole dwelling has also been upgraded thermally so that what was once a cold draughty dwelling is now a warm, well insulated family home.
